Please describe how you fixed the problem. People read these threads because they face similar problems and it is VERY frustrating when a thread ends in "solved" with no explanation of how it was sovled.

Help your fellow SDNers out and share the fix.

Hi,

Did you try to a kernel upgrade - Check SAP note 19466.

The standard way for updating kernel patch is:

1. Bring down SAP system and database.

2. Kill manually any processes that did not die.

3. Cleanipc <central instance no> remove and cleanipc <appln server no.> remove

4. Tar up/store the entire /sapmnt/<SID>/exe directory for possible need to revert back to kernel.

5. Copy tar file to safelocation

6. SAPCAR the kernel SAR files in the EXE Directory.

7. Verify ownership/permissions of file for <sid>adm and those that need to be for ora<sid> (such as brtools) and some for root (such as icmbnd) (assume you're using ORACLE).

8. and FINALLY, start the SAP system

Please ensure that no processes are running on the system. It is also vital to ensure that the library contained in the shared memory on the system is updated correctly.

Also do make sure your DBSL library is updated correctly also.

Also as per your below error is relating to work process, please check the below link for solution :-

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bw/helpdata/en/1f/8311664bc511d189750000e8322d00/content.htm

Please check the server Defaut Trace log from /usr/sap/SID/j2ee/cluster/serverX/log/defaultTrace.#.trc in server directory

Please also post the DEV_W0 trace file, so we can understand why is ending abnormally. Check below link for help :-
