Mapping

Dear friends,

I got stucked with one mapping issue which is asfollows:

In the soure there is a node called : Product.

Under this node Product i have field : ProductDescription.

Requriement.

I need to map this product description field to targer field PRoduct_Descr under the node Material.

When i did simple one to one mapping the value is populating in the material node but when there is multiple materials nodes in target.Apart from first node in all other nodes the value is not populationg.

Kindly guide how to populate this ProductDescription value in all the material nodes.

Howe you are determining the multiple nodes going to generate in target?? based on which value in source.?

The material node frome target is mapped to Node called affected items ( from source which is ( 0.. unbounded).

From source when there is multiple materilal .In target the we will get multiple material nodes.In thath node product descr field is not populating .

Hi Renu,

So you have one value ACCESSORIES and you need to populate in two segments under the fieldname PRODUCTLINE_DESCR. At the end of mapping your two target material segments has the field PRODUCTLINE_DESCR and the value ACCESSORIES.

If yes then map like this:

value~~>copyvalue (standard function)~~>PRODUCTLINE_DESCR

Also do enough testing and if you have issues revert back.

In my testing i found our 2 things.

1. In Message mapping test tab it is working fine but in runtime in sxmb_moni after mapping i am not even able to see the tag in target structure.

2. In the source they are posting multiple values under Product Lines

Eg: Accessory 1

Accessory 2

In our target it is taking only one value.

Kindly guide me.

Message mapping in this inetrface is happening in BPM.

It is working perfectly fine in Test tab of message mapping.

The same mapping is not working when we actucally load the file. In sxmb_moni that new target field Pruduclline _descr itself is not coming.

I have no clue why it is not coming in runtime.

This mapping transformayion is happening in BPM.

I think, the problem resides on your configuration.

Check your Directory config part and make sure that which interface mapping is your config. is using

If possible better to re-create the config. part

At this point i dont want to change the mapping .As per your suggestion i deleted the interface determination and recreated but still it is not coming in runtime.I have activated all the IR & ID objecys.

The mapping logic Split by value is perfectly fine.Kindly guide me how make this work in runtime.

How to map the two fields from the source to same fields ( product_descr) in target

The same product line field from node ( Documents and also from node parts ) need to be mapped to target.

Hi Renu,

Usually if you are getting everything in the mapping tab and you are not getting the same changes in runtime its only a cache issue. Why dont you try checking whether the cache is all updated fine?
