Hi All,
Cna any one throw light on Qualifer Update, replace and Append features on Qualifier look up Table in IMport manager?
I tried at my end and I am confused and I see the same result for the both... Where as replace it will just remove all the records in the Qualifier Look up Multiple table with the new record... If some one can point to some examples...
One more thing : Is it possible to update Non - Qualifer of Qualifier Table (Multiple Look up)
Thanks
Rajeev
Hi Rajeev
Imagine Sales Org data as qualified table fr Materials. NQs are sales Organisation and Distribution channel and Qualifiers are Sales Text, DChain Status etc.
some examples to explain the scenarios-
1. A material got extended to a new sales Org say INDIA,01 then for the same material record we need to add 1 more entry in the sales org qualified table and use APPEND.
2. A material existing sales org data changed, say the D chain status and sales Text for existing NQ combination needs to be updated to newer values- Use Update. NQs remain same only update happens for Qualifiers.
3. A material existing sales Org data has to be totally replaced with new set. Say earlier it was wrongly assigned to INDIA, 01 and correct one is UK,01. We deletes all existing NQ links and creates new.
Even replacing NQs is possible. You can try executing the scenarios to grasp a better undrstanding
Thanks-Ravi

Hi Rajeev,
If some one can point to some examples...
Please refer the below article which is self explanatory:
Is it possible to update Non - Qualifer of Qualifier Table
I think this is not possible.

Hi rajiv
Append
Comparing against all of the qualifiers, incoming source data value
combinations that do not already exist are appended to the set of
existing qualified lookup values.
Replace
With no comparison against the qualifiers whatsoever, the set of
incoming source data value combinations completely replaces the
set of existing qualified lookup values.
Update
Comparing against just the matching qualifiers, incoming source data
value combinations that already exist update the remaining qualifiers
of existing qualified lookup values. Update actions include:
New links (no matching qualified lookup value)
Skip
Create
Existing links (matching qualified lookup value)
Skip
Update (NULL Qualifiers Only)
Update (All Mapped Qualifiers)
Replace
Delete
No you cant update the non qualifier in this process.
Thanks,
Sudhanshu
