Hi Davide,
Thanks for clarifying the actual issue. Please let me know what is the actual result of the DB12 command. Does it shows all empty. You are not getting the summary of the backup as well ? Also do you get any error message any where ?
Also would be interested on the history of the system. Is it a freshly installed or copied system.

Hello the problem is solved.
I open an OSS message and a SAP Support sayd us:
Hello Davide,
The cause of this issue is that synonyms to SDBAH and SDBAD points to
tables in wrong schema -> 'SAPSR4DB'. Please run the following command
order to change synonyms back to SAPSR3 schema:
brconnect -u / -c -f crsyn -o sapsr3
Subsequent backups should be then visible in DB12.

Hi Davide,
Sorry for the delayed response. It seem slike only answer to your situation is
Check SAP Note 1081265 - DBACOCKPIT: Backup logs are not displayed "as suggested above.
If you are in the same patch level, would be good to raise a call with SAP.

Hi Davide,
Before suggesting any solution, please confirm, if we have understood your issue right.
You are taking the offline backup of you database using brbackup (OS Level/HP Data Protector).
When you are checking the Backup status in DB12, you are not able to display the log for the same.
Please let me know otherwise.
Also are you able to see the summary data of the Backups ?
Please check in the sapbackup directory if you are seeing any file with ".aff" extension, with the timestamp of the date when you have taken the backup.

Sanujit

Hello, thank you for your answer!
Yes, yoo say exactly my problem.
On OS level, via brbackup, when the backup finished, into sapbackup directory I find the .aff file
that finished with

but into DB12 of the SAP system . I don't see any log backup.

Hi,
Could you execute the script - sapdba_role.sql (check for Oracle version relevance) attached to the following Note and as advised in the same note:
-
SAP Note 134592 - Importing the SAPDBA role (sapdba_role.sql)
-
Also execute the above script for ora<sid> , <sid>adm users as mentioned in the following note, under heading(Application-specific database role SAPDBA)
-
SAP Note 834917 - Oracle Database 10g: New database role SAPCONN
-
This should clear off any auth issues(if any).
cheers !

Hi,
Similarly how you have scheduled the offline backup of database through BRBACKUP in the same way you need to schedule or take the backup of archive log files from BRTOOLS or through DB13 from SAP.

The problem is that I don't have any error..
On OS system, into logfile of backup offline, the backup is ended without problem, all datafile was backupped good.
The system is in NO ARCHIVE MODE, and I can't schedule the backup of archive log for test..
The only problem is that if I go into DB12 transaction, i don't find any backup session.
Hi,
First bring your database to ARCHIVE LOG MODE and after that schedule the archive log backup from BRTOOLS at OS level or from DB13 tcode at SAP. Then once the backup is completed then you can see the logs or details in DB12
If its a live or running system take down time and bring the database to ARCHIVE MODE.
checking the current archive mode.
SQL> SELECT LOG_MODE FROM SYS.V$DATABASE;
LOG_MODE
-
NOARCHIVELOG
Now startup the database in mount mode and put it in archivelog mode.
sqlplus sys/passwd as sysdba;
SQL*Plus: Release 10.1.0.2.0 - Production on Fri Oct 15 16:00:58 2004
Copyright (c) 1982, 2004, Oracle. All rights reserved.
Connected to an idle instance.
SQL> startup mount
ORACLE instance started.
Total System Global Area xxxxxx bytes
Fixed Size xxxxxx bytes
Variable Size xxxxxxxx bytes
Database Buffers XXXXX bytes
Redo Buffers XXXXX bytes
Database mounted.
SQL> alter database archivelog;
Database altered.
SQL> alter database open;
Database altered.
Verify that whether in ARCHIVELOG mode:
SQL> select log_mode from v$database;
LOG_MODE
-
ARCHIVELOG
Note: XXXX are nothing but the value of memory. Just removed the values and have put xxxx
