ICM error

Hi,

I have several WebServer - SCM scenarios in my landscape.

Of which, few of them are HTTP-SOAP and few are HTTP-XI (proxy)

The HTTP-SOAP scenario works fine but the scenarios HTTP-XI gives Error while receiving by HTTP(error code : 400) error text: ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED 400 not found error message. My Basis guy has been looking into it since last 5 days and he couldnt find anything wrong with the system. We have tested all the possible entries in Visual admin, RFC destiatnions of type HTTP. All seems to be good now.

To rule out the data issues, I have configured the same message to a file reciever besides SCM system; using the same recvr determination. That is generating file succesfully but the call to Proxy is failing.

On the other hand from the messages going from SCM system to web server, I have a SCM-HTTP scenario which is Proxy - http, which is also giving the same error message.

What could be the possible issue?

In SAP Netweaver Process Integration Troubleshooting Guide, There is one solution given for ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED Error.

According to Guide.

Run SPROX_CHECK_IFR_RESPONSE report that executes a http call to itself to test if the http communication is working.

In case of problems check following:

1. Is the ICM running and the HTTP port Active in Transtion SMICM?

See SAP Note 634006

2.Check the dev_icm trace file and see whether there are any errors.

3.check SAP Note 773830 and make sure the host name is set correctly.
