Inspection Lot creation

Hi,

As per my understanding , inspection lot is created automaticaly when QM is active in material master and the stock moves to quality. Can we create inspection lot manually ?. If so, what is the t-code for creating the Inspection lot ?.

QA01 is used to create a manual inspection lot. How that actually works and what is required to be enterred depends on the inspection type you choose to create. Be advised however that NO manually created inspection lot is stock relevant and therefore cannot be used to control stock or move material out of QI stock.

Hi Aditya,

If you want to create inspection lot manually , first you need to set the Inspection type " 89" in material master QM view

Then you go to T-code QA01 --input material number, plant & Inspection lot Origin.

HI,

QA01 manual creation of inspection lot is usefuul if you want at any point of moment check the material for any reason then you can this functionality.

This lot is not stock relavent at all.
