RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE (SUBST_CHECK_NOTES) DURING UPG TO EHP4

Hi

During our EHP4 upgrade of our ERP 6.0 system, we are getting an error during PREP_IMPORT/CHECK4NOTES_TOOL phase.

The error message is complaining about not finding the Function module SUBST_CHECK_NOTES. We checked and we do not have this FM on our system.

ERROR: RFC of "SUBST_CHECK_NOTES" failed.

key : RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE

message : Function module "SUBST_CHECK_NOTES" not found.

Just to mention, we have applied all the notes to prevent the activation notes as per 1245473 and 1165462(IBM DB2 for i).

We are running DB2 on system i.(OS400). This is not the error mentioned in note 1251735 where you edit the EPINOTES.LST file. We checked that and all the notes have been completely implemnted.
