Hi,
I have a question - I have 2 Oracle databases : one of them is the main one and the second is the backup that I should switch to automattically when the main is down.
My DBA team advices me to use tnsnames.ora to switch to the backup.
But PI doesn't support reading tnsnames.ora file, so how can this issue ne achieved, is there some parameters in JDBC adapte?
Thanks a lot for your help
Dmitry,

This is an interesting scenario. I don't think you can achieve this by a straight forward approach. JDBC adapter is not having any parameters to support this functionality.
Create an Alert email if the adapter error is there. This will happen when the DB is down (and it can happen for other reasons as well). The alert email will work as a trigger point for the 2nd JDBC channel.
I am not too sure how realistic this approach can be, but you may want to give it a try.
