Error with install Solution manager on step: check DDIC password.

Iu2019m installing SAP Solution Manager 7.0. ABAP and JAVA instance. OC SLES 10.2. БД Oracle 10.2, update 10.2.0.4. At step 28 out error:

Test logon to SAP System UST failed.

SOLUTION: Make sure that the system is started, that the user DDIC exists and that the password of user DDIC is correct.

I have tried to change password DDIC at 19920706. Error could not be fixed. In the SAP GUI can connect SAP *. When Iu2019m trying to connect DDIC out DB-Error u2013 0.

I have the same problem during SOLMAN 7.0 instalation.

I can see logon screen in SAPGui but I'm unable to login as DDIC or SAP* (000/001) users, it just says DB-Error-0 on bottom bar in SapGui.

I tryed default passwords (SAP* - 06071992 , DDIC - 19920706) and masterpassword given in the begining of installation.

Hi,

A final try:

1. Change the password of DDIC of 000 and 001 to the password which you specified during the installation. Check the user is not locked due to the various attempts.

2. Re-verify that you are using the right kernel version , UC or non-UC. Try changing the kernal and proceed. Means if you are using the latest kernel, try the one below that or if not, try the latest one.

1) I have changed the password of DDIC, it doesn't work.

2) I have downloaded patches SAPEXEDB_236-20001348.SAR DBATL700O10_48-20001348.SAR, lib_dbsl_241-20001348.sar R3load_125-20001348.SAR R3szchk_25-20001348.SAR and applied them. My problem havenu2019t solved.

How can you change password if you can't log on to SAP* or DDIC users in SAPGui?

I am installing SOLMAN on RHEL 5.5 with Oracle database.

Hi, Lucas.

For change password I do:

- stop SAP instance.

- Go to \usr\sap\CSM\SYS\profile\DEFAULT.PFL

- Add or change the parameter Login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0

- conn to the database;

- delete from .usr02 where mandt=' ' and bname='SAP*';

- start sap instance;

- conn to sap in client 000 using SAP*/pass;

Problem is solved.

I have took to installation disk

SAP NETWEAVER 2004S SR1

Kernel 7.00

Linux on_x86_64 64bit

Number 51031778

Then I have took to update kernel

SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 SR3

Kernel 7.00

Linux on x86_64 64bit

Number 51033508

But I havenu2019t update kernel. I have installed with this installation disk. Installation has finished successefully.

I don't understand you.

During installation when it ask me to choose installation DVD's I point to folders containing files from DVD's. I had problem with choosing DVD for SAP Kernel 7.0 because It couldn't pass checksum when I pointed to "SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 SR3 (51033508)" so I pointed to "SAP NETWEAVER 2004S SR1 (51031778)". I see that you mention those DVD's and it solved the same error I'm having (stop during DDIC check password).

Could you please, explain the steps you passed to choose this SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 SR3 (51033508) DVD.

I'm also using this "SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 Installation Master (51033517)" to start the installation but I can't choose

"SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 SR3 (51033508)" when it asks for KERN70. It checks the hash of files on this DVD and turns error that it found wrong files, when I choose DVD "SAP NETWEAVER 2004S SR1 (51031778)" installation goes next.

How did you choose the proper DVD (51033508) instead of that older one (51031778)?

Check the port no 3303 in /etc/services and os level.

Also check the service 3303 is there and assigned as SAP Service sapgw00. Also try upgrading your kernel.

Yes the port 3303 is open. Firewall is switched off during the installation.
