Substitutions and Adoption
If an Approver is going on holiday or is going to be absent from work they can, and should, setup another approver as their substitute before they go using the Add Substitute button.
They can set up a substitute as Active or Passive.
An active substitute will immediately see the other person's approvals in their approval inbox.
An passive substitute will have to use the Adopt Substitution button before they can view the approvals in their inbox.
Once they have adopted the substitution more buttons will appear allowing them to end the substitution if they want.
If they have not been set up as a substitute or are active only the Adopt Substitution button will do nothing.
It is possible to be a substitute for more than one approver and if they have been setup as passive by many approvers they can choose which approval they want to activate.
