Hi Experts,
We are on the verge of implementing the HR Support Packs. How can I perform a robust bout of testing considering that there might be so many SAP Notes implemented through these Support Packs.
Regards,
Somdeb.
Hello Sombed,
Here is the testing strategy that I have recommended to all my clients:
Take a dump of following tables Before and after applying stacks.
1. Take a dump of major payroll relevant tables for e.g. T512W, T511 etc
2. Take a dump of time and payroll schema.
As well talk to your Basis and ask him to request a copy of side effects report from SAP. It gives very detailed information on changes in modules.

For a more generalized path for viewing and downloading the notes follow the below steps -
logon to service marketplace and click through support
Downloads
Expand support packages and patches
Open Support packages and patches - entry by application group
All your mega components should appear on the right side of the screen
browse through SAP Application components SAP ERP choose whichever version you want
browse through to the HCM component and SAP_ERPxxx
once you get to the list of support packs, click the hyper link on the support pack title
This will open up the list of notes in another window.
you can completely expand all the notes and download them to a spreadsheet
I know this is lengthy but this is the standard way to get to notes in a support pack for the component we want. Hope this helps.
