Hello,
I have one question regarding Exchange Rate determination in Sales Order.
I have change the document Currency in the sales Order but the exchange rate determined in the sales order ( from Eur to USD) is not is the Table TCURR..
Could you please tell me where SAP takes this exchange rate ???
Thanks for your help
First check the setting in t-code (ONOT). This will tell you how the currency exchange rate is determined for this pair. Based on your information you've provided, I suspect it is maintained as an indirect quote. If it is maintained as an indirect quote, use t-code (OB08) to look up the rate, but this time look for USD to EUR. The system will use the reciprocal of that amount.
thanks,

Use Tcode OB08, maintain the exchange rate with the exchange rate type S which is the SPOT RATE or you can try with M (or based on your customer requirement).
Also, check copying control setting for billing (VTFA / VTFF / VTFL)
Say , use tcode VTFL, select the item category for the combination of your delivery type and billing type where you can see a field Exchange rate. There you have the following options.
A::: Copy from sales order
B::: Price exchange rate = Accouting rate
C::: Exchange rate determination according to billing date
D::: Exchange rate determination according to pricing date
E::: Exchange rate determination according to current date
F::: Exch.rate determination accord.to date of services rendered
Thanks & Regards
JP

HELLO,
the question is regarding sales order..
When I change the document currency, the value of the exchange rate is not the one defined in table TCURR.. So where does it come from ?
Then, in copy control ( VTFL), the pricing exchange rate is blank. with this blank value what is the system behaviour ?
regards
Use Tcode OB08 - maintain the exchange rate
100* Reference value = group value
1001 Current exchange rate
1002 Average exchange rate
1003 Historical exchange rate
1004 Current exch. rate prior year
200* Reference value = group value
2001 Current exchange rate
2002 Average exchange rate
2003 Historical exchange rate
2004 Current exch. rate prior year
B Standard translation at bk.selling rate
EURO EMU regulation, fixed exchange rates
EURX EMU regulation, variable exchange rates
G Standard translation at bank buying rate
I Intrastat exchange rate type
M Standard translation at average rate (generally preferred by sales guys)
P Standard translation for cost planning
Exchange rate type is key under which you define exchange rates in the system.
Its is use to define different exchange rates you must specify exchange rate types. For instance, you can use the exchange rate type to define a bank buying and selling rate and an average rate for the translation of foreign currency amounts. You can use the average rate for foreign currency translation, and the buying and selling rates for the valuation of foreign currency amounts.
Rest all (copying control) was FYI.

Here are the entries in OB08 for EUR to USD
M 01.01.1997 X 1 EUR = 1,20075 X 1 USD
P 31.12.2008 X 1 EUR = 1,50000 X 1 USD
P 01.01.2001 X 1 EUR = 0,95000 X 1 USD
P 01.01.1997 X 1 EUR = 1,20075 X 1 USD
ZEND 01.03.2004 10,00000 X 1 EUR = X 1 USD
____ __________ .__,_____ X ___________ _____ = .__,_____ X ___________ _____
