We want to realize SSO between our WebDynpro Application and a R/3 System, and we plan to set UME service of J2EE engine against our R/3 user db, I mainly know I shall configure UME service of dynpro's to use R/3 system as user data source, but I could not find the detail operations, could anyone know what shall I do in J2EE admin tool to accomplish this configuration? (i.e. in which field, use which user account to connect to R/3...)
Hello lvaylo
I 've read your link, but still have not a clear
idea about what shall I do to set my UME service to use
the user data of R/3 system. Create a user store to represent R/3 and active it?
Have you ever done such kind of operation? Could I
ask you for a little bit more detail about it? And we could use netmeeting if needed, thank you for your help!

Hi Kevin,
No, I've not done this myself.. I just recently read documentation about configuring UME (in persuit of another issue), so I just decided to point to the documentation and hope it can help you in a way.
However, as I open the link I can see that I've given you wrong link. The one that I intended to give at first place is the following: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/49/9dd53f779c4e21e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
It talks directly about configuring the ABAP user store as datasource to be used by J2EE Engine.
Hope this documentation helps this time. Otherwise, we'll have to wait for somebody with more experience on that to provide details.
Good luck!
P.S. Description of configuration steps and tools:
