Dear All
I want to print following matter in Smartform
'Cash Discount @' followed by the variable defined as charcter with length 6 related to percentage i.e 2 % and then followed by the Amount .
'Turn Over Disc. @ followed by the variable defined as charcter with length 6 related to percentage i.e 2 % and then followed
by the amount.
I have taken utmost care in the size of the variable by defining the text elements as
let say cash % = zcash and turn over disc = zturn
The following is defined in the smartforms
'Cash discount @' &zcash(6R)& &zcash_amt(13.2R)
Turn Over Disc. @' &z_turn(6R)& &zturn_amt(13.2R)
Still the output is
'Cash discount @' 1 % 176.01
Turn Over Disc. @' 3 % 56.91
Can any body guide to get exact alignment for the amount.
Regards
AVS
You can use tabs for it. Otherwise, the second value will shift as per the length of the first value.

The matter was solved with using Tab in paragraph format.

Hi Anjali,
Did you try with the tab option?
For instance:
'Cash discount @' &zcash(6R)& &zcash_amt(13.2R)
u2018Turn Over Disc. @' &z_turn(6R)& &zturn_amt(13.2R)
It should work. Please try.

Selva K

Hi..
Try using a template for fixing the position of the texts and a right aligned font for the amount variable.
This may work properly.
