It depends on the kind of Mobile integration that would fit-in for a specific business usecase.
There are various ways of mobile integration even with out Netweaver like apps using Webdynpro online, other custom applications that directly talk to ECC via JCO etc mostly suiting light weight always connected scenarios.
There are pros and cons for any kind of Mobile integration .
Netweaver Mobile could be used to build mobile apps for occassionaly connected/disconnected scenarios and for wide variety of devices from windows mobile to smart phones available in the market.
