Why this Date format (dd.MMM.yyyy) doesn't work?

I have created a Simple Type as date and in its external representation format I fill "dd.MMM.yyyy". I create a context attribute field and make its type as well.

The problem is when I select a date using search help is showed wrong format, like "04/077/2006" instead "04/Jul/2006". This work fine when this format is applied to read only fields that caming from model, just to show in this format.

This is a mistake in Web Dynpro Java?

Probably your Web Dynpro version does not yet support this. Which version (SP) are you using?

I'm using NW2004 SP16. I didn't test with others versions.

Do you know which version this mistake work fine?

For me it looks like a bug in WD HTML Client renderer (in client-side JavaScript).

VS
