Hi Sunil,

this is the problem:

2010-07-05 10:26:07.43 Server Error: 26054, Severity: 16, State: 1.

2010-07-05 10:26:07.43 Server Could not find any IP address that this SQL Server instance depends upon. Make sure that the cluster service is running, that the dependency relationship between SQL Server and Network Name resources is correct, and that the IP addresses on which this SQL Server instance depends are available. Error code: 0x103.

In the cluster admin please check if the IPadress and the network name for the SQL Server is online, before you start the SQL Server.

Hi Clas,

IPaddress and Network name are defined in the Cluster Administrator. Where I have to check for SQL Server;s IPaddress, please advice

Regards,

Sunil

Sunil,

nobody can tell you "where to check" because nobody knows how the cluster is set up. I suggest you get a basis admin on your site who knows Microsoft Cluster services - or open an OSS call (BC-OP-NT), the support may help you faster.

Hi,

they are defined in the cluster administrator as well. See the SQL Server Ressource Group, they should be in there.

Contact you basis admin if you are unsure how to deal with this.

Best regards

Clas

Hello,

Please check SQL server Service and the SQL Agent Service

are starting correctly.

Are there any errors in event viewer refering to these services?

regards,

John Feely
