Netweaver - System Information

Former Member

Hi guys

I am having trouble with my System Information in Netweaver. Each time when I try to open it, the web browser (IE)

loading never end. The other application such as UME, SAP NetweaverAdmin have also the same problem.

The application that successfully opened are SAP library, SAP Management Console and Web Dynpro

The Netweaver version is CE 7.1 stack 004

Any Idea?

thanks

Hi,

is it possible that your whole Java stack is not running properly? When you open the SAP Management console can you see all systems green coloured or is it possible that a node is yellow / or even red?

if so you should check the Java traces in the work directory.

Cheers,

Andreas

yes...seems that your applications are "dying".

Is the system new installed? Has it ever been running?

Try to push more information by finding them in the trace files. server0-log file migth be interesting and the dispatcher log too. Any errors in there?

Kindly,

The system was up before. After configuring for MII and restarted certain application and services...I started to have this problem.

We started Netweaver....and sometimes we waited......few hours and it started....but if I try to start some application, the the netweaver "hang". We restarted again...and this time it does not start.

What I did was to connect MII to ERP.

I saw some application are "lazy" but starting. Do these might be the cause of the problem?

I will try to find out more in server00.log after a few hours....of starting.

And where can I find dispatcher log? What should I expect there?

thanks

"lazy" seems to be the startup mode of the single java applications.. I'm not quite sure if this is the right mode. Here you can find a short introduction on that issue:

https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-33125

Remark the line: "Currently, only the Web Dynpro container supports the lazy startup mode." So are you sure all your applications with a remark "lazy" in the log files are Web Dynpros?

You should try to change the startup mode of the affected applications. At the link you can also find a the way how to change the startup mode.

Does this have any affect hopefully positivly?

Hi Andreas

I am not sure if those lazy applications are Web Dynpro applications but I have not changed the suggested file. So I would presumed they are correclty configured per installation.

Another thing (see below)

current expected

Application sap.com/sapjra~xMIIIDOC01 always starting running server0: starting

Application sap.com/sapjra~xMIIIDOC02 always starting running server0: starting

Application sap.com/sapjra~xMIIIDOC03 always starting running server0: starting

Application sap.com/sapjra~xMIIIDOC06 always starting running server0: starting

Application sap.com/sapjra~xMIIIDOC07 always starting running server0: starting

these application have beed unter status "starting" for more that 3 hours. Can I manually stop them...how?

and

Application sap.com/sapjra~xMIIRFC01 always failed running server0: failed

These applications are configured for SAP ERP connection. The ERP mandant has been changed from nr 811 to 110. Certain users and access were deleted in 811. These application try to connect to mandant 811 which was deleted. But I could only change them if I could go to "start & stop application"

do you know which application indeed starts the System information?
