I wanted to configure the Port and XML schema for a repository.
I followed the following steps.
I have XML Schema file in my local disk. Then I created Port in the console.
However I am not able to see any folder structure getting created on unix server. The port was saved successfuly.
I can not see the Ready folder for this particular folder.
Can you please help me?
Hi Sudha
Please check the path -> root/DBMSinstance_DBMStype/RepositoryName/Inbound/
ClientSystem/PortName/Ready
Root is the drive on which MDM server has been installed.
Also please check if the distribution path has been changed in the mds.ini file and is pointing to some other location.
Thanks-Ravi

Hi Sudha,
In Unix Installation of MDM 7.1, default Port Structure will be like this:
/usr/sap/<MDM System ID>/MDS<Instance Number>/mdm/distributions/<MDM System ID>_<Database Type>/<Repository Name>/Inbound/<Remote System>/<Port Name>/Ready/
Check it and let us know if you face any problem.

Hi SudhaViz,
Firstly create a remote system and associate that with the port.
You can find the port in the following path of that particular remote system.
C:\Program Files\SAP MDM 7.1\Server\Distributions\HostName_DB\Repository Name\Inbound\Remote_System\Port\Ready,
C being the drive where you have installed MDM Server
Thank you,
Minaz

Hi Sudhaviz,
By default the path for ready folder is:
C:\Program Files\SAP MDM 7.1\Server\Distributions\HostName_DB\Repository Name\Inbound\Remote_System\Port\Ready
Where C: is the drive where you have installed MDM Server
Just check for this path, hope it helps..
