Business Process Monitoring - No Automatic Service Desk Message Sent

Former Member

Hi have configured Automatic Service Desk Message for some Alerts, but the Service Desk Message is never automatically created (I am able to create it manually). I have set that the Message must be sent if there is one yellow or red alert, but the Automatic Message is never sent even if I see that there are many red alerts raised! I do not understand why (I have followed all the procedure regarding the creation of Business Partners). Can you help me?

Thanks,

Antonello

No, there are no errors in SLG1. Also the automatic emails are not sent.

In case that you encounter alerts but no email is sent please refer also to SAP Notes 944737 and 949361.

For SLFN creation in the configuration of BPMon :

Processor : Defines a default processor who should process the message. The

processor must be known within the service desk and must be SAP user

name who is defined as a Business Partner with role u201CEmployeeu201D.

Reporter : Necessary when service desk messages are created automatically. Must be

a SAP user name who is defined as a Business Partner with role u201CGeneralu201D

I have performed these two points, but I do not undarstand what does it mean "must be know by the Service Desk".

Normally u should be able to find out the error in SLG1 in case that no incident message has been created.

Cuz the creation is done via 3 BADI

BADI_CUSTOM_SUPNOTF

BADI_CUSTOM_MESSAGE

BADI_BUILD_SUPNOTF

r u using custom ticket ZLFN/YLFN or standard SLFN ?

i dont know which stack r u in, in SP23, u can indicate the filtre of the BADI so that customized ticket could be created

Hello Antonello,

please refer to SAP note 784752 where it says

Local RFC connection BPM_LOCAL_<Client>

There is a connection between client 000 of the SAP Solution

Manager and the client of the SAP Solution Manager into which you

want to integrate Business Process Monitoring. The connection

contains the system user SM_BPMO (or the user CSMREG) that exists

in the Business Process Monitoring client of SAP Solution Manager

and to which the current version of the user profile S_CSMREG

(see Note 455356) and the roles SAP_IDOC_EVERYONE and

SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE are assigned in the user master data.

(Important: The profiles for the roles must be generated.)

So does the user that you put into the BPM_LOCAL RFC connection contain the role SAP_IDOC_EVERYONE (for autom email) and role SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE (for autom Service Desk creation)?!

Best Regards

I tried to add the two roles to the user SM_BPMO and It didn't work. So I performed an authorization trace on that user with transcation ST01 and I realized that there were some authorizations still missing. I didn't care to adjust the roles and I put SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW to the user and know It is working, sending emails and creating messages. You were right, the problem was due to missing authorizations to user SM_BPMO in the client of BPMon.

Thank you very much for solving my problem,

Antonello
