RFC Connection type T

Hi there,

We have created a RFC connection of type T, pointing an ip address, everything working fine.

The problem will be when i have to create it in production system.

Is there any way to create it by using logon group?

Thanks in advance,

Dany Anderson

Yes, the only thing to remember is of course to give the same registration name from the external system and in the RFC destination.

Hi,

Let me explain better.

I have a java application which connects on SAP through RFC connection type T, so, it connects in a application server, but there is a big problem, we have logon group, so when a abap program is running where the java application is connected, perfect, everything works fine, but when it runs in other server, an error occurs and the abap program cannot comunicate with java application.

Does anybody know how to solve it?

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

an error occurs and the abap program cannot comunicate with java application.

As you said error occuring when with "other server" if the RFCs are ok you can compare with these systems.

Please post the error log.

Hi Dany,

This is not a load balancing problem. As you said the external program is registered on the gateway of a specific server of the SAP system.

The solution is really simple : register the external program on the SAP CI server and when you define the type T RFC destination, fill the Gateway options (Gateway Host, Gateway Service) with CI server information.

You can then test the RFC destination from any DI and it will work !

Hi,

You have to make entry in services file of source system with information of target system

Also you have to have changes in hostname file.

Then create Logon group on source system.

Then create a RFC in target system, in RFC there is a option to specify the logon group information.

Thanks
