Alert Job in RAR

Dear all,

I have to schedule the alert generation job in RAR without the notification job. I am not sure what shoud be a suitable frequency of the job- daily, weekly, monthly? Please suggest.

Hi

The frequency of the report depends on the criticality of the control that needs to be maintained. The frequency is the number of days. Usually, if the risk (for which the mitigation is being placed) is critical then you can have it on a daily basis. If the risk is high you can set the frequency on a weekly basis. Please do keep in mind that the mitigation monitoring alerts are generated only when:

1) There is a transaction in the action tab (reports tab) when you create a mitigation control will result in alerts being generated.

2) This transaction needs to be run by the mitigation owner and monitor for the system to create a date stamp for GRC to generate alerts based on the frequency that you have specified in the reports tab.
