Strategy for Assigning AEApprover role to approvers

Hello Experts,

To allow managers and other Approvers to approve the request in CUP - AEApprover - role needs to be assigned to all the approvers (role owners and managers). We are using LDAP as data source which is also mapped to UME. However, there are so many users to whom this role needs to be assigned so i need advice how to go about doing this in UME. Can you guys please suggest a good way using which we could assign this role to approvers in UME? Is there a way we could map the AEApprover role to some group which could be further assigned to the users?

Hi Ben,

in terms of where to assign it: you can either do it in UME directly, or link LDAP groups with UME, whatever is easier to administrate for you.

While there may be an initial mass provisioning (which you could also do through CUP, bzw!) I usually find it can be done one by one for changes. Even if there are frequent chjanges, it's no use giving out the role before the approver has had minimal training (which means you need to deal with them individually anyway).
