The "backint" programm from the 3rd party backup tool is exiting with a segmentation fault. You may check the event log for further information.

the BACKINT program is supplied by your 3rd party vendor.

You must contact CA (Arcserve manufacturer) and get support from them.

Hi

We've solved this problem by applying new service pack of ARcserve. Best Regards...

Hi HK

> There is no error offline backup of development system.

Did you edit init<SID>.sap file? what is the value of backup_dev_type ? can you change it to "util_file" or "util_file_online"

Please also check the Link: [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bw/helpdata/en/0d/d3093f4a0c11d182b80000e829fbfe/content.htm]

Thanks and Regards

ask your Arcserver Admin to investigate. at first look, it seems that Arcserve is having problems.

Hi

The log file is used by BRBackup for verification and needs to be in the

location specified. If you have backed up and removed the contents of

/oracle/SHP/sapbackup you need to put back the backSHP.log file

check if file /oracle/SHP/sapbackup/backSHP.log exists

if it exists, change permissions on it.

if it does not exist, go get it from the original server.
