BW Local client copy

Hi all,

We have performed a homogeneus system copy between a BW production system and a BW test system. We have now a client 700 in the BW test system and we want to change the client number to be 150 instead of 700.

The only way we heard we can do this is with a local client copy via SCCL transaction. It would be possible to copy 700 client into 150 client (in the same test instance) and the delete the 700 client??

Does BW system support a local client copy??

Yes please, you may copy the client using local client copy (SCCL). Please refer to following documentation:

You may delete the client 700 if not required to keep it using (SCC5).

Both the above activities can be performed on BW systems.

Hi,

After copying client 150 from 700, you may have to run BDLS to Convert Logical System Names
