Hi,

Go into Transaction SICF, navagate to the service you would like to use. If it's grey, it means it's not activated. All you have to do is right click and activate the node.

Then when you do the test, it will give the port and path to the new service.

Hi Abay,

What did you mean by "Abap system there is no NWA"? did you mean you want to do SAP transactions in internet browser instead of traditional SAP GUI? if this is the case, you should visit page:

http://<server>:<icmport>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui

for example: http://192.168.1.100:80XX/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui, where XX is your instance number.

Thanks and best regards,

Nick

Hi Li Nick,

i think nobody can not understand me, please try to think like that:

you have SAP Java ystem, when you go to http://host:port/nwa there is Netweaver administraion - that is OK.

I never tryed to go through this link to the SAP ABAP system, and now my boss asking me, why in our SAP ERP EHP4/NW 7.01 there is no this NWA?

I know about web gui, thank you for advice.

Dear Abay Mustafin

Can you give more details please ?

Your SAP system which has product version SAP ERP EHP4/NW 7.01 is a dual stack installation ? (Abap&Java running on same SID?).

Which OS are you using ?

NWA is only needed for Java since it contains the administration stuff for Java.

In Abap you have other transactions used for administration.

If you have Java you should be able to access the NWA, you can go through the index page of java to reach it as well.

http://<fqdn>:<port>/index.html or directly http://<fqdn>:<port>/nwa

For example you have SAP system XX1 with instance number 05 on virtual hostname hostxx1.domain.com with usage type ERP EHP4/NW7.01 (dual stack) then you should be able to access nwa using url http://hostxx1.domain.com:50500/nwa

Kind regards

Tom

Hi Tom Cenens,

Our SAP ERP EHP4/NW 7.01 is only ABAP stack, there is no java stack in system. OS Linux

Hi,

From now on for all new SAP business suite installation, SAP has separated both the ABAP and JAVA stack as separate installation and there is no dual stack for new installation due to some performance reasons. Might be you BOSS might have seen it in a system which has both the ABAP+JAVA stack. (Also check with your BOSS if he has seen it for ECC only?). If your BOSS wants to see what he is asking for then tell him that you need to install separate JAVA stack for existing ABAP ERP EHP4 and connect them.

Hope this point clears your's and and your BOSS query. Even now, if your BOSS or you insists to ask how to see ERP ABAP stack in Web then only answer would be activating services in integrated ITS.

Hi Sharath Babu,

is there official SAP documentation which tels that in ABAP stack there is no NWA. I know that there is ITS and for web services I have to activate it in SICF

If you don't have JAVA, you actually have a scenario that is SAP ERP EHP4 and not SAP ERP EHP4/NW 7.01 although you do have a number of components that belong to the title "Netweaver". If you have SAP ERP EHP4/NW 7.01 then you should have a JAVA stack running somewhere that is connected to the SAP ERP EHP4.

It's true that SAP is moving away from dual stack SAP systems and going towards seperated SAP systems.

I don't think you will be able to find an explicit line stating that NWA doesn't reside on the ABAP stack.

You can find more information on NWA on help.sap.com.

Hi Tom Cenens,

when i log into system in Russian lang i see, System -> Status -> ERP 6.0 EHP4/NW 7.01

BUT when i logged in Eng. Lang i see ECC 6.0, so i think this is translation error. Thank you, i knew all of this, in fact this is a first time when i reach this. Thanks to all!
