EHP4 packages download with solman 7.0

Dear Gurus,

I just have a query as whether we can download EHP4 installation packages with solman 7.0 itself ?

I believe we can or does it necessary to have solution manager 7.0 EHP 1 for doing this ?

Can anyone please throw some light on this ..

You likely want to check out http://service.sap.com/erp-ehp for more information.

For installing Enhancement Packages, Solution Manager should be on EHP1.

Hello Vishwanathan

You need to have you Solution Manager on EHP1 ie minimum on SP18 to download EHP4 installation via the Maintenance Optimizer functions. It is recommended that you install the latest SP ie SP 24 on your Solution Manager system.

The reason being that for the EHP4 installation a XML file is needed and to generate the XML file flawlessly you require EHP1 of Solution Manager.
