Hello,

IN SRM 7.0

I would like to know the Difference between the Product Responsibility and Organizational responsibiliity section for a Purchasing Group under responsibility tab in SRM Orga Structure to the Purchasing Group Extended Attributes tab Product categories and Locations node , As what I see is that we maintain the similar details in both the tabs then what is the difference and its reason for maintaining Under two tabs the same details.. Appreciate your response.

Hello Phani,

First, 'Responsability' tab is only active for Organizational Unit being a purchasing group. So, product categories given as product responsability for this purchasing group are managed (source of supply, etc.) by purchasers belonging to this purchasing group.

In 'Extended Attributes', you don't have purchasing group.

Product categories and locations assigned here allow users to create purchasing documents as requesters only with those product categories and locations.

If you have same values between both tabs, this means purchasers create purchasing documents as requester and then assign source of supply for same product categories as they are also purchasers.
