Did you mean:

icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=1080,TIMEOUT=60,PROCTIMEOUT=600

Hi experts,

can anyone tell if there is a difference between our TEST system icm parameter:

icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=1080,TIMEOUT=60,PROCTIMEOUT=600

and our PROD system icm parameter:

icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=1080,TIMEOUT=60, PROCTIMEOUT=600

I mean the SPACE before "PROCTIMEOUT".

Seems that all other parameters are the same (also on web dispatcher!) but timeouts only occur on PROD system after

60 seconds.

Therefore this "strange" question.

thanx in advance,

ralph

Hi,

if that ICM time out parameter is changed from 60 to 600 recently a system restart is requried.

Is system restarted after changing the parameter?

Hi Suresh,

yes, systems were restarted.

But my question is:

Is the PROCTIMEOUT param valid if there is a SPACE before it?

Hi,

That space won't make any diffrence.

we upgraded our system to 7.11 recently and increased timeout value to '900'.

some times l we are still getting timeout error .

Now I have more accurate information:

The PROCTIMEOUT Parameter on the test system works fine.

(I testet with 20 secs and it responded with a corresponding timeout).

The PROCTIMEOUT Parameter on the productive system always responds with default timeout (60 secs) regardless of which PROCTIMEOUT is set on ICM and on SAP web dispatcher.

Both systems have a couple of application servers installed.

Prococol is always HTTP.

Any ideas?
