Hi,
I am trying to stop a particular J2EE application, so that no one can access to that applications while I am doing some maintenance on the UME users.
I try to stop the application using Netweaver web administrator and Visual Administrator. The status shown the application is stopped. However, when I try to access the application I can still go in and everything seem to be running. I check the application status, it has turned into started again.
How can I stop any applications / services permanently so no one can access it.
Please help.
Hello,
A suggestion is to install a SAP Web dispatcher in front.
The SAP Web Dispatcher has the option to set it in "Maintenance Mode".
Nobody is able to log in accept the administrator. So then you can do your thing as administrator.
Regards,
Marcel

Hi Wai Meng Leong
From what you describe the application has 'lazy' startup mode

Defining an appropriate fliter for the application should meet your needs
