Versioning without NWDI

Hi,

Is it possible to customize ESS screens without NWDI. If so, I like to maintain manually backup a copy at the end of each day. Can someone suggest if this is even possible and if so, how to do this ?

well you can use any of the following:

Subversion

CVS

visual sourcesafe

I would suggest CVS as it has integration plug-ins for Eclipse, which is the backbone of NWDI.

subversion is better than CVS or you could say a modern version.

Hi Jai,

If your ESS/MSS component is Java Component, then you must need NWDI landscape to modify ESS/MSS Component.

For NWDI setup, you just need to deploy NWDI component in the server and put ESS/MSS sca files in CMS inbox directory.

Please have a look at and SAP Notes 872892.
