CUP Email Notification

Hello Experts,

I have the following scenario:

1. Stage A : Business Process Owner

2. Stage B : Manager

3. Stage C : Security

Here ideally notification will be sent at each stage to each approver. However, at the manager stage there is no such value addition to the workflow and would like to remove this STAGE. However, for the information purpose we would like only the notification to go to the corresponding manager. Is there a way using which we could achieve this? We would like only the notification be sent to the Manager but not the request for approval and neither we would like the manager stage to be there in workflow.

Is there a feature in CUP which would enable sending of notification to person outside with workflow approval.

Hi Ben,

You definitely can send the notification to manager.

To send notification for request submission, Go to configuration -> workflow -> email reminder -> Submission, check the checkbox for 'Manager' and save the data. This will send an email notification to manager as soon as the request is submitted.

To send notification at stage level, go to configuration -> workflow -> stage -> select the stage and go to change mode. Select the right checkbox for the notification from notification configuration. This will send notification to the manager when the request is approver/rejected/escalated in this particular stage.

Thanks for your response. However, i wan to double check, will the manager still get notification even if the manager stage is not there in workflow?

Yes, Ben. As long as the manager information was populated while creating the request. You can give it a try on your dev/sandbox.
