Purpose of new movement type

Hi There,

What is the purpose of creating new movement type and what kind of situvation newmovement type will be recommned.

Please advise with couple of examples.

Onemore thing where to find and how to find who has developed the Z reports (nothing but developed person name),please explain indetail.

Hi,

New movement type creation. if you wnt use the particular movement type for only single trasation. or

if create any Z trasation & want to use goods movements then u can create new movement type. or standard seetings in SAP movements need to be changed the you can create/copy the existing movement type and do the modification & assign to particular t-code.

Z transation report:

SE93. Enter Z* put F4 .

Well regarding a new movement type its depends on business requirement like i had a scenario where client was looking to have a new movement type where he can deliver samples with sales order delivery free of cost and want to monitor the value of samples on a separate GL account.

regarding Z programes you can get the list of Z program from SE93 and once you open that program go to system and then click status and separate box will open in that box click on program there you can find the name who develop the prog.
