Hi All,
Please refer Note 1148028, to setup the SLD on Solution Manager. Please find the attached doucment in the same Note for the setup of SLD.
P.S. : All the SLD users will be required for the proper functioning of SLD.
I hope this information will help.

You can also populate SMSY from Transport Management System (TMS)/RFC.

Hi Sasha,
Are you able to connect to the SLD through the browser via http://server:port/sld
I removed everyhing from the smsy_setup except for the namespace at it works fine now.
Have you entered all the relevant data in sldapicust transaction ?

I realized that after following your suggestions, my problem was purely a password issue that I was able to test through RZ70.
Can any one give further directions on building solutions now that I have the SLD base and have configured the first steps in SOLUTION_MANGER? Under Solution Landscape>Solution Settings, there is configuration that needs to be done and it is unclear through SAP help.
We just went through this same issue. I thought I would share what we found. We had a number of different problems...
- The SAPSLDAPI RFC was not setup for Unicode.
- Both the SAPJFS and SLDAPIUSER accounts were setup to require a password change on first logon.
- The password in SLDAPICUST was wrong.
- We initially had removed all of the values under Expert Settings of SMSY_SETUP. We found that "Namespace in SLD" needed to be set to "sld/active".
Stopping and restarting SLD was also required somewhere in the process of making all of these change.
