Problem with PI installation (Netweaver 2004s)

Hi

I am currently trying to do a PI installation of Netweaver 2004s. I am using J2sdk 1.4.2_12 and have installed Oracle 10.2 with the patch 10.2.0.2. The installation in done on a windows 2000 server. I am getting the following error:

I have tried restarting the DB instance and retrying but nothing happens.

Could anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. The passwords which I have set are all alpha numeric (no special characters) and are of max lenght 7.

Hi Pravin,

Check the alert_<SID>.log in your installation. Check if the error is shown there. The log file will show the obsolete parameter. In my case it was 'enqueue_processes'. Comment this parameter and save the init<SID>.ora file and click 'Retry' button.

The create Database phase should continue.

While doing PI installation I am facing the same problem.

I have gone through the links but have still not been able to figure out my problem. One point which I was thinking about is if this error could occur due to insufficient RAM. Just a guess. Can anyone confirm this?

The shared memory might not have proper permissions. So try to altered it with chmod and proceed the installation step.
