Hi all,

We have to assign new position to employees when they are promoted. When we are running promotion action and trying to give new position it is not allowing us to assign new position. We are assigning new position which we have created as on today.

What will be the solution.

There Should not be any conflicts between the dates of the Promotion and the Creation of the Postion

The position should be with the validity period of Promotion Action .......

I have delimited holder relationship on the date of promotion and assigned new position. This way it is taking new position.

This might be a case of the position being created with validity after the date of promotion.

For ex. Date of promotion - 01.06.2010 and Position validity from 25.06.2010 to 31.12.9999.

The Position validity should be from or before 01.06.2010.

If this is not the case then check the plan version in which your position is created. It should be the active plan version.
