Hi,

In which path you are extracting the files. First copy both the sapcar.exe and DBATL700010_48-20001000.SAR file to a separate folder and extract the files in that path and after that copy file from there and paste in required location.

Hi

First take backup of the existing run folder to oldrun

now, copy the existing SAPCAR file to another location like /home/tmp/SAPCAR

also remane saposcol to saposcol.tmpold

now, extract the SAPEXE file on /home/tmp/SAPCAR from the /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run directory.

I hope this helps..

Hi,

This might be the permissions issue. Give Read/Write permissions to the >SAR file & also check the owner of this file name. Hope <sidadm>:<sapsys> must be maintained as owner for this. Also give full permissions to SAPCAR executable file too.

Hope this should resolve your problem.

Cheers

Hi,

This is a permission error for directory in which you are trying to run SAPCAR.

Provide proper access to directory (Read /write for user sidadm) and then rerun the comand it should work.
