Batch Management activation

Dear SAP Friends,

I want to activate the Batch Management for material X.

Batch was not activated previously & material movement has been carried out.

Now in current suituation there is no stock in MMBE & MD04.

Not any Purchase Requisions,Purchase order,Planned order,production order & reservation present in system.

When I use MM02 to activate the Batch management through Purchasing view it gives error as" The batch management requirement cannot be changed because stock is availbale at plant level"

since there is no stock in system,it gives error.

Please suggest the solution.

Hi,

You mentioned that material movement has been carried out. So there should be a stock some where in plant.

Can you please check what material movements done for this mataerial in MMBE --material movements.

i think stock should be there in Either quality or Blocked stock under in MMBE.

Thanks for your early reply...

No there is no stock in MMBE.

It shows me the Previous period stock in Material Master Storage location stock(MM02).

Any idea what to do with that...

Hi Chandra Sekhar,

Could you please make the stock as zero, even from the previous period. Some times the stock may show zero but the value of the stocks may still exist. Everything must become zero, try and perform physical inventory by Mi10 and make every thing zero. Once this is done then try to activate the batch management, this should work. In case it doesnt work please send us the error message.
