HR Datasource - Infotype 0041

Hello all,

I need the following fields for HR. I think the below fields are from Table PA0041.

Hire Date

Re-Hire Date

Perm FT Hire Date

Perm FT Re-Hire Date

Cumulative Service Date

Acquisition Serv Date.

Is there any business content datasource for the above fields?

Can you please help me on this.

NO business content datasource available on PA0041. U should create a view on PA0041 with required fields and then create a datasource on this view.

Load 0EMPLOYEE from this datasource.

Are you saying connect new datasource(based on PA0041) to 0EMPLOYEE in BW?In this case I need to add new fields as attributes in 0EMPLOYEE and load from new datasource.

Also, I need fields from table PA9001(custom) and PA0041. Can I create generic data source based on view on both these tables?

YES... Add new fields as attributes in 0EMPLOYEE and load from new datasource, so that wherever (transformations) u have 0EMPLOYEE, u can read msterdata for these attributes.

Since u have PERNR in both infotypes, U can view based on PA9001 and PA0041, and then generic data source based on view.

Just one more question. I am new to HR module.

Presently 0HR_PA_1 is being used in BW and loading to cube.

I need few custome fields from info type 9001.

Can I enhance datasource 0HR_PA_1(Personal Actions) to extract fields from info type 9001.

What fields should I use for selection conditions? Will the data come correctly if I enhace extract structure?

If u see 0HR_PA_1 has only 5 fields and bunch of fields (in 0PA_C01) gets filled through master data read from 0EMPLOYEE.

So u should manipulate the custom fields (from 9001) as 0EMPLOYEE master data read as much as possible.

As I suggested in my above post create view (0041 & 9001) with required fields. Add these as attributes to 0EMPLOYEE and also in one of the dimension of cube 0PA_C01. Load 0EMPLOYEE with this new datasource (view 0041 & 9001).

In transformation between 0HR_PA_1 --> 0PA_C01, do master data read from 0EMPLOYEE.

Enhancing datasource 0HR_PA_1 is NOT a good approach .

When we create a Data source based on view on two PA Table so can also use delta update based on date for this data source and will this work ?
