Dear gurus
While updating the address in XD02 the effects is also taken on previously created sale order.
why is that so..
The previous created sale order should not update the new address of a customer?
Regards
Saad
Dear Saad,
All address (Customer / Vendors / etc) are stored in a central Table - ADRC.
Thus any change in address in XD02 will change the ADRC table record. Thus this will reflec in all the previously created documents also.
For a detailed explanation please refer to last post in the link below.. .
Hope this helps...

Dear Friend,
Creating a new Customer Code is not a good option. Because it will not give correct Financial Accounting reports...
If the previous Transaction is Complete then why do you want to store that address. (Anyways you will gave hard copies of Invoices which will contain the old address)
Also as explained by Shambhu above, you have to keep the latest address for all communication purposes... thus I dont see any logic in creating new Customer Code.
Hope this helps...

Hiii
For example previously your customer have head quater in place "A" from where he have placed lots of order. Now customer moved to Place "B" and placing the order. system should not change the address of customer previously created document because how can u track in system then previoue order customer placed order in which place if system update the address of customer in all previously created order.
Second logic for not changing customer order that customer just moved to other place so new order will be created in new address not old one
another One take a scenario Customer placed the order previously from old address now before delivery he moved to new address and as per requirement we need to send the bill in new address then manually you have to change the address at order level for that particular order
Hope it will clear you
