Self Service Password Reset for users

Hello, we have a BW system based on Netweaver 7.01. We have configured the self service password reset for users.

We have the following problem. If users wants to reset their password, they are asked for email, last name, surname and userid. We only want, that they have to type in their userid and email otherwise users get problems, because we don't have a naming convention for special characters and sometimes users are written für ü or ä.

In the UME configuration we didn't activate the flag, that users have to type in last and surname, but this users get the request. Anyone an idea, what we missed?

Hello Alexander,

ume.logon.logon_help.name_required only works with the WebDynpro logon help application

Once you assign the UME action Logon_Help to a role assigned to the group anonymous users (as per the help documentation you have already followed) WebDynpro logon help application will be

activated, then you can use the ume.logon.logon_help.name_required value to choose if the names are required.
