I have the download manager installed and when I go to download the SAP GUI I am asked for my log-in credentials. I put in my user id and password but then it asks for address. I have tried my ip adress, my domain address, to no avail. Any ideas what the "address" is referring to?
Thanks, that got the download manager to go to my basket but there is no gui in the basket. Where do I get the gui and how do I get it into my download basket?

You can download SAP GUI from the Software Distribution Center on the SAP Service Marketplace:
-> Download
-> Installations and Upgrades
-> SAP Frontend Components
-> Select the correct version for your workstation OS Platform
Once you drill down to the installation files then you can add the appropriate files to your Download Basket. Then you can refresh the display on the SAP Download Manager. Your download basket selections should appear in the list and be ready for download.

I Think, this is a general issue. As long as you are neither a SAP-Customer nor an employee of a customer, but a SAP Freelancer, you can reach the swdc page, but you have no rights to download any software. In the past anybody was able to download a GUI from SAP. I'm a freelance SAP-HCM-Consultant and I have always the same problem. I have to ask my customers to provide me with the tools. For me that's the wrong way. Is there anybody from SAP to tell us a reliable source for the tools.
The "address" field in the Download Manager Configuration screen is looking for the address of the SAP Download Site. I think you need to enter "https://service.sap.com/swdc" in this field.
Best regards,
Mark
