hii
Is it possible to create material company code wise .???
If not , explain me the reason ??
Only plant wise is possible in standard SAP??
Thanks
Any transactions in MM,PP,QM are specific to Plant and so materials must be maintained at plant level. There is no transaction in SAP which specific to company code with materials .Any transactions at company code level does not involve material as it is related to accounting entries. So material master does not have company code specific data. This could be the reason.

Hi,
As Raganath told you, normally there's no company specific view for material master (there's no company specific data table - maybe there would be one exception: if you defined the valuation level as company and not plant,(it is not used I think) then the Accounting view would be company specific).
However, in certain industry specific solutions you extend the goods per company code.
E.g. in "Beverage" the excise view can be defined as company specific (data table: /BEV2/EDMAB).

yes material is created at plant level only.
plant is assigned to company code.
company code is assiged to client.
so a material created at plant level will be available at client level.
but you can not create material directly at company code level.

Basically materials are created at client level, then they are extended to certain plants, storage locations, company code involvement is not in material master.

Hi,
While Creating Material Master it will have different level of data like . . client level data, plant level data, stor loc data.
Basic Data1 & 2 is maintained at client level, & one can't have co.code wise materials, plant level data is extended to particular plant settings like MRP, Purchasing etc. . . . which will differ from plant to plant.
There is no such specific requirement to be maintained at co.code.

Hello,
Their is no such Company code level data for material master. So material master can be maintained at three level 1) Cleint level 2) Plant level 3) Storage location level
Basic data 1 and Basic data 2 views-----General data --Client level data
Purchasing , MRP Veiws and ---Plant level data
General plant/Stor 1 and Stor 2---Storage location level.
SO you are having the only one company code then, you can say Client level data is company code data.

It is not true, there are other views in material master which are in connection with other organisational level (e.g. sales view --> sales organisation & distribution channel, WM view --> warehouse).
