VL02N, system status EDEL is active(EQU 10006188)

My user was receiving the RMA and performed VL02N and used the same serialized SAP batch # , system threw the above error message " system status EDEL is active(EQU 10006188)"

To troubleshoot this issue I was trying to replicate the error with the user but under VL02N> Post goods Receipt button has been grayed out.

Please help and advise how to resolve this.

Status EDEL means the Equipment has been assigned to some delivery. Check the Equipment history to find out which delivery the Equipment has been assigned to. Go into that Delivery item , select the item and using menu path Extras/Serial numbers, delete the Serial number from the Delivery and save it.

Now assign the Serial Number to the required Delivery and proceed further.

Thank you Ruchi. After we reversed an inbound delivery, we had to delete the serial number from the reversed delivery to allow the equipment to be assigned to another delivery.

Hi,

Your information was very useful but it took me a very long time to reach it as I had the system status ELIE instead of EDEL..

But the problem is the same.

Would anyone know the reason ? Is it because of the edition difference?
