Hi
our handling unit labels are defined by smartform, using paper format DINA5 landscape.
For the adhesive labels I defined a fix input tray TRY01 (on page level / by command).
But the tray 1 wasn't used and I got a second paper with the message
PCL XL error Warning: IllegalMediaSource.
My test printer is a ricoh SP4100n with 2 trays. We use device type SWINCF (driver SWIN),
access method S and Sapsprint on a windows printserver.
Does anybody know what's wrong ? The printcontrol TRY01 was translated into T1
by the device type SWINCF, but what makes SAPsprint with T1 ?
Is there any summary which Printcontrols/format types are known/accepted by SAPsprint ?
Thank you in advance HG
Hello
For SAPSprint tool options refer to SAP note - 85469 Options for the SAPSprint print server tool
The tray selection process varies according to whether you are printing
SAPScript, ABAP Lists, or Smartforms.
It also varies among different device types. Please refer to the
following SAP Notes:
189618 - Paper tray and print mode for Smart Forms
542736 - Controlling input and output bins for Smart Form
143375 - Choice of paper tray for printing lists 4.5A/4.6A
42565 - Select paper feed when printing SAPscript in 3.0x
Note that the tray selection settings in transaction SPAD are only effective for
ABAP list printing with the "list printer driver" (Note 143375) and for printing
Smart Forms(Note 189618)." They do not work for SAPScript forms.

Hello
thanks, I found also a lot of SAP notes. OK, there are comments about the DOS-like-looking
parametrizing of SAPsprint.
But the focus is on the device type SWINCF and SAP's spooler SAPSPRINT, neither
Smartform nor SAPscript.
How can I use the Bypass of our printers ? There's no PrtCtrl in SWINCF like TRYMN !
What makes SAPSprint with "T1" for Tray1, why doesn't it work ?
Has anybody an idea ?
