Hello guys
In our Business process we currently run CO05N to Release the assembly Production Orders to the Production Floor.
In the course of time we have accumulated a lot of Production orders in the system & now this Transaction is taking a long time to execute approx. 15 minutes.
The old production orders are completely processed & also there is a batch job that runs every month end to put a CLOSED status on the production orders which are completely processed.
This is quite frustrating for the Business user coz just to release 100 orders to the floor, its taking such a long time.
We are using standard fields as selection criteria on the selection screen.
Has anyone experianced such a scenarios ... & can anyone shed some thoughts on how to improve the performance of this transactions.
Your response is highly appreciated
Thanks
Vin
Vin,
Are you working on any Industry specific solutions of SAP, if so just have a look at this OSS Notes# 1022154. If not please let us know the selection criteria you are using in CO05N for selecting the orders.

well we have implemented standard ECC system.
We have MTO items in the system. These Materials trigger a Assembly Production Order when placed in a Sales Order.
Then we use CO05N tcode to release those Production orders collectively & then process them individually as and when they are produced.
I will try checking the OSS note that you mentioned. However if you have any other thoughts on it .. kindly suggest.
Vinit,
You did not mention the selection parameters you are using for CO05N. At which level you are trying to select the orders, Header or Operation or Component level?
Hope you are also activating the check box for "No Relased order" and using "CRTD" status to select the orders. If not please try this.
Regards,
Prasobh
