Hi Experts,

I want to build a Webi Report on MultiProvider/InfoSet or Query of MultiProver/InfoSet.

I think that this is not possible with Universe.

It is possible through BVM.

I am not able to connect to SAP BI through BVM using the following steps;

Data Connection

Dynamic Data Connection

Data Foundation

Business Element

Business View

List of Values

Please help me how to connect to MultiProvider.

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,

Rafi

You can build a universe on top of a BEx query that accesses a multiprovider.

Business Views are only usable in CRystal Reports. Still if you want to build a CR report on an SAP BW data source you should use the BW MDX driver, which is delivered when installing the integration Kit for SAP solutions.

The integratzion Kit for SAP solutions is also required if you want to build a universe on top of a BEx query.

1) Build a BEx query on your multiprovider

2) Build a universe based on the BEx query created in step 1.

3) Build your WebI report based on the universe created in step 2.

Hi Efstratios Kara,

I already tried these steps what you told me.

I created a MultiProvider and then created Query on that MultiProvider.

But i am not able to connect to it through Universe.

Please tell me you have done this.

What is the exact problem. DO you get an error when you try to create a universe or are n't you able to see the query at all when you try to create your universe? If the query is not visible make sure you set the "Allow external access" option by opening the query in the BEX Query designer.

Hi Efstratios Kara,

"Allowed External Access" in the Query.

When creating Universe at the final stage, i am getting a problem.

The exact message i will post you tomorrow because i don't have access in the office.

The message is " Internal Problem ".

I will go home and post you the exact message tomorrow.

Anyhow thank you for your communication.

You can build a universe either on top of an infocube or a BEx query.

Please note that SAP recommends to build universes on top of BEx queries.
