Standard SO type overwrites transaction variant

Hi all,

We have configured transaction variant for VA01 for certain sales order types.

It is working fine for those SO types.

The problem is when we use any other SO type where the transaction variant is not used then for the next entry of SO type (with transaction variant) the fields which are supressed are again visible in VA01.

For example we have two order type SO01- With transaction variant & SO02- With out transaction variant.

If for the first time in VA01 if create sales order with SO1 then it transaction variant works fine.

In the second case if we create SO with tyep SO02 then when it comes back to initial screen of VA01 & give entry for SO01 then all the fields which are supressed are visible again.

To avoid this we need to re exceute VA01 which is not advisible.

Guide us to overcome this.

One option is create a separate Tcode through SHD0 itself which and pre paopulate your SO type which will work only for SO type with tvaraint

Name of the variant: can be with ZZ_BUS2032_..... when you activate did the system issue the meesgae "standard variant for BUS2032 is changed". Please check.

Else one Deactivate and Activate again.

Also check if there are any other variants which are activated for VA01 for other order types. For VA01 transaction, you can have only one variant active at any time.

Hope you have assigned the transaction variant to the order type in VOV8.

Is the transaction variant Activated( in SHD0).? If not please activate it.

Hi Sai,

It is already activated in SHD0 for transaction VA01.

The problem is if you execute VA01 and gives input for desired SO type then it works fine but you give input for any other SO type, go into next screen & come back and give the input of desired SO type it doesn't work.

It looks that the otherSO type overwrites the screen varinats fields.

How to overcome this?
