Look All the things are integareted with MM as MM is a core module base layer is FI and second base layer is MM. Like material Master is common thing in all the modules but its MM entity. Material Master contains every module related information. For PP MRP views, for PM purchasing views for FI accounting views, for SD sales views, and all information through material master all modules used. for PP material is MM part issuing the inventory and reservation is MM part. for PM through maintenance order PR and PO generated its MM part, GR and GI for PM is also MM part. Material sales is SD part, delivery, return all those are through MM movement types.

its a huge topic thousands of scenarios are there.

I have already explained PM above. Other links are showing details on FI, SD, PP, Asset accounting integration in detail.

Ill write some brief integration.

For FI, you know its the core module and all the accounting entries are generated there, so when GR and IR takes place in MM

FI module is required for accounting entries.

In SD case, when sales order is generated which needs some material which is not available, so PR cycle is created to procure the material, or when goods issue takes place, it picks material from MM or when returns takes place, material is returned to MM etc.

In PP case, when production order is created, all the material is required from MM and when extra material is required again MM is called or when material is short, PR is raised for required material through MM.

PM integration happens when a notification is created, and in that notification material is required which is not in stock, so PR is raised for that material, or notification is converted to work order, and material is issued against the work order.

All the materials required for PP, SD, PM are created in MM, material master, so mostly all the modules in chain management are linked to MM and MM is linked to FI when accounting takes place.
