stock placement

hi,

my requirement is i have to configure three scenorios

a)Same material 1 bin

b)Different materials in 1 bin

c)Different materials different bins

how to achive this especially second and third scenorio.

Hi,

Your requirement is defined very accurately... - there is overlap between them....

1) One material ALWAYS in one bin --> fixed bin

2) You have to set:

- mixed storage indicator for the storage type (V_T3010-MISCH)

- addition to existing stock indicator should be set properly (V_T3010-ZULAG)

- storage unit type of material (quants) should be allowed for the bin in config (V_T334P)

3)

3a) You can realize this e.g. via fixed bin for each of your material (dummy solution)

3b) You have to set the indicators mentioned in 2) properly

hi csaba,

a) i define a mat xxx for w.h-001,st.type -001 for that i maintain the fixed bin wm2 view apart from what i have to do complete the fixed bin scenorio.i have lot of empty bins define for that 001 (st.type) once i put gr it will move to some other bin not fixed bin.

b) it is possible to configure all the three scenorios in single torage type(001).

Hi,

a)Same material 1 bin

use fixed bin option in matl master. Its a standard functionality.

b)Different materials in 1 bin

ensure 'mixed storage' option is checked for your storage type. As long as the bin capacity (LS02N) is not exceeded, stock will be placed in the same bin.

c)Different materials different bins

This is governed by the material, storage type and search strategies. Get some informatoin on how the search strategies, putaway strategies work.
